Socialist candidate for Senate representing Massachusetts speaks out against racist treatment of community members at Faneuil Hall citizenship ceremony

On Thursday December 4, two immigrant community members who were set to complete their citizenship oath at Faneuil Hall were pulled out of line and had their ceremonies cancelled.

Joe Tache, who is a socialist candidate for the U.S. Senate representing Massachusetts, spoke out on X against the racist treatment of the two community members and the many others who have had their citizenship process cut short because of Donald Trump’s new immigration restrictions

“I’m disgusted by what unfolded at the citizenship ceremony at Faneuil Hall on Thursday,” Tache said. “Trump is trying to blame our immigrant brothers and sisters for the disastrous effects of his billionaire agenda, but we see through it.”
